The topic of coercive control–especially within Christian churches–is often misunderstood and mismanaged. As a result, many women  experience confusion, isolation, grief, and fear and are sometimes told they are the problem rather than receiving the care and protection they need.

The purpose of the website is to offer biblically grounded resources that bring clarity, discernment, and hope in situations involving harm and misuse of authority. It also provides an opportunity for readers to become familiar with my work and determine whether it may be a helpful fit for their ministry or training needs.

Sydney Millage is a certified biblical counselor with the Association of Biblical Counselors and holds a master’s degree in Biblical Counseling. She is the author of 37 Ways to Be Taken Captive and serves as the executive director of Clarity in Action Ministries.

Scripture reminds us, “A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps” (16:9). Over time, the Lord has directed my steps toward writing, teaching, and speaking in ways that seek to reflect truth and care for others.
